Donovan McNabb and the Washington Redskins converted three successive 3rd downs in the initial drive of the game tonight.

Facing 3rd down and 6 yards to go on their own 24 yard line, McNabb hit Santana Moss for 13 yards.

On 3rd down and needing 14 yards, McNabb hit his TE Chris Cooley.

Washington had nearly approached midfield, reaching their 48 yard-line when they again faced 3rd down, and 10 yards to go. McNabb hooked-up with Anthony Armstrong for 45 yards, setting-up 1st and Goal-to-go from the Baltimore 7 yard-line.

While the Ravens defense would step-up and force a Field Goal, this was a frustrating series for the Baltimore defenders. There is nothing more back-breaking for a defense than letting an offense convert on 3rd down. These three plays perfectly illustrated that it does matter who is in the Secondary, if the Front-seven is not able to generate a pass-rush.
