After experiencing a recent run of mediocrity, Jake Arrieta rebounded last-night with a strong start for AAA Norfolk.
In 6 innings of work, Arrieta allowed 6 hits, 2 er, 0 bb’s, with 4 k’s.
This moved his combined season total of innings to 121.2.
In 2008, Arrieta pitched a total of 113 innings, not including his time with the US Olympic team.
It will be interesting to see how the O’s handle Arrieta the rest of 2009. My assumption is that they will shut him down at the end of the AAA season.
