Jake Arrieta is finishing his 2nd-professional season with a flourish.

Tonight, he moved to 5-6 at AAA Norfolk, as he picked-up the win.

Arrieta pitched 7 innings, allowing 6 hits, 1 er, 2 bb’s, with 6 k’s.

This was his 3rd consecutive start with at least 6 innings pitched, and 2 er or less allowed.

At AA Bowie, Arrieta pitched 59 innings, allowing 45 hits, 4 hr’s, 23 bb’s, with 70 k’s.

At Norfolk, Arrieta has pitched 75.2 innings, allowing 82 hits, 8 hr’s, 24 walks, with 68 k’s.

While Arrieta has been easier to hit, and has seen his k’s per inning drop; it is interesting to see that his control has improved.
