The Orioles moved to 4-1, with a 6-0 nothing win over the Rays at Camden Yards tonight.

Guthrie provided 6 scoreless innings, allowing 5 hits, with 2 k’s.

Albers, Walker, and Ray combined to pitch the last 3 innings, with each showing good-stuff.
Ray in particular was sharp, as he struck out the side in the 9th.

The O’s offense got off to a quick start, with 5 runs in the 1st inning of Tampa starter Jeff Niemann. Niemann, a 2004 1st round pick, settled down later in the game…. but was knocked around early, allowing doubles to Roberts, Markakis… and a Grand Slam to Mora.

Baltimore will attempt to get the sweep tomorrow, with Adam Eaton expected to get the start.

If Eaton does get the start, he has to be added to the roster… if that happens, Brian Bass will likely be removed in the corresponding move.
