Baltimore Sports and Life Collaborators
Baltimore Sports and Life is excited to announce the addition of new collaborators to the site. Each of these additions coming on bring experience, and a welcomed new perspective to BSL.
Tucker Blair was born and raised in the Baltimore area and currently lives in Elkridge, Maryland. He graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a B.S in Entrepreneurial Studies and is currently a Project Analyst for a Management Consulting Firm in Federal Hill, Baltimore. Tucker was previously the Managing Editor at Orioles Nation, where he worked on prospect lists, reports, and analysis on the Orioles minor league system. Kevin Ebert was the owner of the Orioles blog Eutaw Street Blues. He had operated the site since the beginning of the Orioles magical 2012 season. He tends to focus on sabermetric analysis of the Orioles and their minor league affiliates. He balances his analysis between what he sees with his eyes and what the analysis of the data says. The Columbia, MD native attended the University of Colorado at Boulder while obtaining a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration. He also attended Loyola University Maryland obtaining the degree of Masters of Business Administration. When Kevin is not reading or writing about baseball, he finds time to work at M&T Bank. Jeff Long was the owner of the Orioles blog Warehouse Worthy, which focused on making advanced statistics a part of the conversation for the average fan. Outside of baseball, Jeff is a graduate of Loyola University where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Business Administration. Lance Rinker is the owner of Project Sports Talk, a sports-talk podcast hosting site founded in 2012 that provides a platform for sports talk enthusiasts to have their voices heard. Lance previously operated the Orioles blog Burning Down The Yard. In addition to his work on BSL, you can find Lance’s more off-the-cuff musings about sports and pop culture on his current personal website, Free Lance, and as a contributor to SB Nation’s sabermetric site Beyond the Boxscore. Daniel Bryden played collegiate lacrosse at McDaniel College where he graduated with a degree in Psychology. Dan is currently a Maryland Terp working on a PhD degree in Neuroscience and Cognitive Science. He has experience writing published scientific material as well as blogging for SBNation via Baltimore Beatdown. Beginning in the 2012 season, Dan has been writing about the Ravens in collaboration with Chris Worthington focusing on the X’s and O’s of the game of football with heavy use of overhead (All-22) film analysis. Matt Jergensenis a lifelong Maryland resident and graduate of both Calvert Hall and Towson University. For over five years he worked as the senior site editor for Ravens Gab, now renamed Baltimore Gridiron Report, providing commentary and analysis. He’s also written articles for Ravens 24 x 7, now Russell Street Report and has appeared on the sports debate site, Fan vs. Fan. Mike Randall was born on the Eastern Shore, raised in Finksburg, and currently residing in Parkville. In 2009, Mike graduated from the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland. Chris Worthington was born and raised in northern Baltimore County and currently lives in Baltimore City. He graduated from McDaniel College with a B.A. in English and a minor in writing and then went on to earn his M.S. Professional Writing from Towson University. Currently, Chris works as a proposal writer for a national accounting firm, CohnReznick. He has held a number of writing and editing jobs in the past including working as an editorial intern for Baltimore’s alternative City Paper. He and Dan Bryden had been writing for Baltimore Beatdown, a part of SB Nation, for most of the 2012 season using the NFL’s new All-22 (or coach’s) film to dissect plays and provide analysis on what is really happening on the field. Zack Kiesel is a full-time college student working towards a career in law and politics. The Owings Mills native focuses most of his efforts on football recruiting and individual coach and player pieces. He has previously written Terps game recaps for ACCSportsNation. ‘Message Board Wars‘ airs weekly on BSL Radio, with the format being an extension of classic sports bar debates. Content covered will range from local sports, to National level discussions; and will regularly highlight BSL posters as guests. The show is hosted by Rob Shields, and Mike Weber.
