The New York Yankees come back to Charm City tomorrow, for a weekend series against the O’s.

The Bronx Bombers are currently 13-14, pending the outcome of their game tonight at home vs Tampa.

The Yankees are 7-8 on the road, and 3-9 overall against the American League East. Going into tonight, they have
lost 4 straight games.

Baltimore took 2 of 3 from NY to start the year, with both Guthrie and Uehara earning wins.

The scheduled pitching match-ups are:
5/8 – Guthrie vs Sabathia in a rematch of Opening Day
5/9 – Eaton vs Hughes
5/10 – Uehara vs Chamberlain

Sabathia is 1-3, with a 4.85 era. He has pitched 39 innings, allowing 39 hits, with 15 bb’s, and 24 k’s.
He has allowed at least 4 er in three straight starts.

Hughes, who turns 23 in June, will be making his 3rd start of the 2009 season. Currently Hughes is 1-1, with a 2.70 era. In 10 innings pitched, Hughes has allowed 9 hits, 6 bb’s, with 8 k’s.

Chamberlain is 1-1 in his first five starts, with a 3.77 era… in 28.2 innings, he has allowed 28 hits, 15 bb’s, with 29 k’s.

Alex Rodriguez will be activiated off the DL for this series, and bring his circus to town.
Mark Teixeira has yet to get on-track for NY, batting just .209, with 5 homers, 15 rbi, and a .772 OPS.
