In Week 6 of college football’s Deified Dozen, Oklahoma was penalized severely for an inexplicable home loss to Iowa State, dropping from #3 all the way into a tie for #10 with USC. The Sooners’ loss was the gain of Penn State, Washington and Georgia, who entered the Top Four (Georgia and Washington are currently tied for 4th). And the long-dormant Miami Hurricanes made a return to national prominence with their first win against Florida State in 8 years….and the Deified Dozen voters took notice, giving them their first appearance at #12, barely beating out Auburn who quietly continue to rack up big wins.

Talk about the rankings here.
