Baltimore improved to 22-26 overall tonight, and 15-11 at OPACY, as David Hernandez won his Major League debut.

Hernandez went 5.2 innings, 5 hits, 1 er, 4 bb’s, with 3 k’s.

Luke Scott homered twice, and Reimold homered for the 3rd straight day.

Hernandez struggled with nerves/control tonight, but his ability to pitch off his fastball, that sat at 94 with movement was very impressive… Lots of swings and misses from the Tigers… Hernandez’s future might still be in the bullpen, but he is going to stay in the Majors.

Now the attention fully turns to Matt Wieters and his arrival in a Baltimore uniform tomorrow night.
