Good win for the Terps tonight, made all the better by the weeks events.

Gary Williams was very emotional before the game when he was introduced, and afterwards with his post-game comments.

With the win, MD and Miami are both 14-7, and 3-4 in ACC play – putting the Terps in a statistical tie for 8th in the league.

Eric Hayes’ overall minutes were about the same, but he was replaced in the starting lineup by Freshman Sean Mosley.

Terps got contributions from a lot of different players tonight:

Vasquez – 11pts, 10 boards, 9 assists, 1 steal, 0 turnovers
Milbourne – 17pts, 6 boards, 2 assists
Mosley – 8pts, 3 boards, 3 assists, 1 steal
Bowie – 9pts, 6 boards, 2 assists, 3 steals
Hayes – 8pts
Neal – 11pts
Gregory – 4pts, 4boards, 1 steal
Kim – 5pts… crowd lifting dunk, and a 3 as the shot-clock hit zero…

No sightings from Tucker, or Dupree tonight.

As a team, MD held their own the boards… losing 34 to 37…

Terps were 14-17 from the line, had 17 assists, 8 steals and only 7 turnovers.

MD also used a zone defense to hold McClinton to 18pts.

The crowd was clearly pro-Gary, and gave him several extended ovations.
