When the Ravens official schedule was released April 15th, I projected the Ravens to lose to the Colts. When the 2009 season started, I continued to show pick Baltimore to lose to Indianapolis. When I make my Week 11 NFL picks, I will again pick a Colts victory for tomorrow’s game.

That does not mean anyone should be surprised by a Ravens win. Thursday night on his show on WBAL, I heard Peter Schmuck express surprise in the line established by Vegas. (Colts are currently a 1 point favorite, meaning they would be a 4 point favorite on a neutral field)

I refuse to pick against Peyton Manning, until Baltimore proves otherwise, but I do not find the line to be shocking. This Raven team has the talent to beat anyone anywhere.

My feelings about this week, mirror my feelings leading up to game-time against Minnesota. I had spent all Spring, and Summer anticipating a Ravens loss in the Twin Cities, but as game-time neared my feelings changed. I woke up that morning and stated I felt Baltimore would rise to the occasion, and win. That did not happen, but after sleep walking through 3 Quarters in the Metrodome, the Ravens did make a statement in the 4th. As tomorrow nears, I come closer and closer to believing the Baltimore is going to win.

The Ravens could have won that day in Minnesota, but ultimately fell just short. That is what I anticipate happening tomorrow. There are a number of areas where the match-ups are equal, or even favor Baltimore, but the Colts are the team with Peyton Manning under center.

Of course the Ravens can win tomorrow, but I am not picking against Manning.
