While it was good to see Matusz step-forward a bit Saturday night, my positive from the weekend occurred in the Minors.

Yesterday Nolan Reimold was in the Norfolk starting-lineup at 1st base. From my perspective, this was great to see. With every game Reimold gets at 1st this year, he will become more likely to man that position in 2011 for the O’s. With Reimold’s height, and athleticism he can easily become a league average 1st-baseman with the glove, if he puts in the proper time required.

As he blasted a homer yesterday, you just hope to see him get hot and force the O’s to promote him back to Baltimore as soon as possible.

When you combine that news, with the rumors that the Warehouse is actually considering moving Tejada to SS – it is easier to get excited about what this lineup could look like the remainder of this year.

By the time Roberts is ready to return (June 10th), might we be looking at a lineup of:

Roberts 2nd
Markakis RF
Wieters C
Tejada SS
Wigginton DH
Scott LF
Jones CF
Reimold 1st
Bell 3rd

Tatum, Patterson, Izturis, Aubrey

*Atkins, and Lugo released

When Pie returns to begin August:

Roberts 2nd
Markakis RF
Wieters C
Tejada SS
Scott DH
Jones CF
Reimold 1st
Bell 3rd
Pie LF

Wigginton, Tatum, Patterson, Izturis
