Just like he did at mid-season, Sports Illustrated’s Peter King has named Marshall Yanda to his All-Pro Team at RT.

At mid-season, I willingly conceded that Yanda had greatly out-performed my expectations for him at RT. I think he proved this year he was capable of being serviceable, and better against edge rushers than I had anticipated. Still, there as just as much a drop at RT from Oher to Yanda, as there was at LT from Gaither to Oher.

I do respect King’s opinion, and I know Harbaugh was quoted in the last month as saying Yanda had done well, but All Pro? Really? I do not see how anyone could hold Yanda in that regard at RT.

Taking a look around the league, I would think each of the following RT’s would be held in higher regard than Yanda: Eric Winston, Vernon Carey, Ryan Harris, Winston Justice, Jammal Brown, Bryan Bulaga, Phil Loadholt, Jon Stinchcomb, Sean Locklear, Jason Smith, and Anthony Davis.

You would also think that Yanda will now want to be paid as a Tackle, which will be that much more expensive.
