2013-draft-logo-story1

The title is a bit of a misnomer. I am not prepared to give my choices for exactly whom the Ravens will take with each of their remaining eleven picks in the draft. Just take a look at Round One and you’ll see a bevy of possibilities; from linebackers to safeties to receivers and lineman that people think will be in Ravens purple late Thursday night. It’s anyone’s guess when you’re picking last. Sure it’s fun but it’s hardly an exact science.

Instead I’d like to try and give some possible options that could be available to Baltimore in each of the remaining rounds from Two to Seven.

ROUND TWO: (Pick #62)

Sifting through the various mock drafts from a multitude of sources can provide some insight as to just how difficult it can be to project a team’s picks. Offensive Lineman Menelik Watson (Florida St.) has shown up as Ravens selection in the First and Second Rounds depending on the source and the same can be said for rising star Inside linebacker Arthur Brown. (Kansas St.) and Safety D.J. Swearinger (South Carolina) Both would help address needs. Terron Armstead (OT – Arkansas-Pine Bluff) is another name that’s been tossed about to give Baltimore some depth to protect Joe Flacco. Receivers could also possible be had here in the form of Quinton Patton (Louisiana Tech), Terrence Williams (Baylor), or Da’Rick Rogers (Tennessee Tech).

ROUND THREE: (Pick #94)

If the Ravens don’t get their Receiver earlier there are some choices here with 6’3″ Aaron Dobson (Marshall), Tavarres King (Georgia) or Ryan Swope (Texas A & M). For those that aren’t totally sold on Gino Gradkowski replacing Matt Birk possible Travis Frederick (Wisconsin) or Brian Schwenke (California) could fit the bill. The Ravens might also want to add a Tight End in which case Travis Kelce (Cincinnati) or Jordan Reed (Florida) could be options.

ROUND FOUR: (Picks #129, #130)

Baltimore goes to back to back in this round. A lot of ways to go here. Continued Offensive line help could be found here with Brennan Williams (OT-North Carolina), P.J. Lonergan (C-LSU) or Dallas Thomas (OT – Tennessee). Defensive help could come in the form of Quinton Dial (DE- Alabama) or Jelani Jenkins (OLB – Florida). The Ravens could also grab a familiar name in Joe Kruger (DE – Utah).

ROUND FIVE: (Picks #165, #168)

The Ravens have two picks again in this round. Montori Hughes (NT – Tennessee-Martin) might be a fit as well as another Alabama product, Nico Johnson (ILB). Safeties Robert Lester (Alabama) or Josh Evans (Florida) could als be chose if the Ravens haven’t yet addressed the position earlier. Josh Boyce (WR-TCU) could be a slot option and has experience catching passes from pros like Andy Dalton and Robert Griffith III. Knile Davis (RB-Arkansas) could also be chosen here to add some depth to the position and can catch the bill out of the backfield.

ROUND SIX: (Picks #199. #200, #203)

Three picks this go round and this is where Baltimore may choose to add to the secondary with Corners Josh Johnson (Purdue), Steve Williams (California), Micah Hyde (Iowa) or Nickell Robey (USC). Receivers continue to be a popular position and the Ravens could select Conner Vernon (Duke), the ACC’s all-time leader in pass catches or Marquise Goodwin (Texas). The Ravens could also go Running Back here with Stepfon Jefferson (Nevada), and Kerwyn Williams (Utah St.) probably out there.

ROUND SEVEN: (Picks# 238. #247)

Jeff Baca (G-UCLA) could help with interior line depth. Mike Edwards (CB- Hawaii) could be added if the Ravens still need a prospect at corner. Tight Ends Levine Toilolo (Stanford) or Philip Lutzenkirchen (Auburn) could also be chosen. The Ravens could also get another Quarterback here with Sean Renfree (Duke), Landry Jones (Oklahoma) and Brad Sorenson (Southern Utah) most likely available. Maybe the Ravens draft Fullback here and clear cap room by cutting Vonta Leach. Likely options could be Tommy Bohanon (Wake Forest), Zach Boren (Ohio St.) or Braden Wilson (Kansas St.).

Of course if you feel a prospect has been left off please feel free to add them on the message board.
