It is half-time in the Ravens first-preseason game vs. the Redskins, with Baltimore up 13-0.

There is only so much information to be learned, but here were a few things I noted:

Pretty clear to see why the Ravens loved Oher as their 1st-round pick. Just a rare combination of size, speed, and power. If you can lock Gaither up, the Ravens have their book-end tackles for the next decade.

McGahee looked like he had his legs under him, and a bit more burst than we have seen the previous two seasons.

Kruger was able to get some pressure from the outside, and so was Barnes.

Zybikowski and Nakamura were flying around, and Zybikowski forced the fumble that Dwan Edwards recovered.

Gooden looked extremely fired-up, and very interested in holding off McClain and Ellerbe for the starting Linebacker position.

The Ravens CB’s had some trouble with the taller, more physical WR Malcolm Kelly.

LJ Smith showed strong athleticism on his reception, and could greatly add the receivers.

Kelley Washington made a couple of receptions, and had something to say after the play. Very similar to his ‘Ray’ dance at camp, last week.

Marcus Smith had a reception, and a nice Special Teams tackle where he was hurt.

Harper rebounded from a few drops, to score the 1st Ravens TD of the year.

Flacco looked good enough, and reminded everyone of his arm-strength.

Smith moved around well in the pocket, had some questionable accuracy, but made the plays to lead the Ravens into the end-zone.

Hauschka made the most of his opportunities by hitting his FG’s, and providing good kick-offs.
