The Ravens have made Paul Kruger inactive for today’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Kruger as an inactive on Sunday’s is becoming an all to common occurrence.

I know Kruger has been dealing a shoulder problem, and maybe the Ravens decided to take the cautious route with the second-year player. However after suiting up only 9 times last-year, and missing the opener Monday; you have to wonder if the Coaching staff is just not seeing enough in practice.

If that is the case, it is pretty disappointing considering the organization invested a 2nd-round pick in Kruger last year. In the pre-season I was encouraged by his noticeable weight gain and his effort at getting after the passer. With the trade of Antwan Barnes, and the loss of Kindle; I think it is very important that the Ravens get some production from Kruger this season on 3rd down. When you look at the roster, he is one of the best options that exist to provide some pass-rush opposite of Suggs.
