Denver Wide Receiver Brandon Marshall has requested a trade, and there are rumors of the Ravens interest.

During the past two-seasons, the 6’4 230lb 25 year-old has produced monster numbers.

2007: 15 games, 102 receptions, 1,325 yards
2008: 16 games, 104 receptions, 1,265 yards

Adding a game-changing talent like Marshall to the Ravens receiving core, would greatly improve the chances of a Super Bowl parade in Baltimore this coming year.

That said, I have plenty of reservations about obtaining him.

There are not a whole lot of things in this world worse than domestic abuse, and Marshall has faced allegiations of that numerous times.

Yahoo!’s Michael Silver had a pretty strong take on Marshall today:

In the article, Silver states that Marshall reportedly has been arrested or questioned by police 13 times (seven times for alleged domestic abuse) since 2004.

That type of rage and irrational thinking does not just go away.

Combine that with the facts that Marshall is coming off of hip-surgery, wants a lucrative contract, and would cost draft-picks to obtain; and I see all sorts of red-flags.

I’ll trust the Ravens to do their due dilligence, and see where the chips fall.
