Chris Tillman took the 2-1 loss in Minnesota tonight, but again looked very solid.

Tillman battled his way through 5.1 innings, allowing 6 hits, the 2er, 3 bb’s (one intentional), with 1 k.

While he only threw 60 strikes in his 102 pitches, I thought Tillman did a much better job of throwing down in the zone tonight. Beyond that, it is just a joy watching him throw 94-95 on the outside black against hitters, and then coming back with his 12/6 hammer curve.

There is zero-doubt in my-mind about his future ability to lead a staff.

Watching his development in his first 6 Major League starts has been fun. Watching him mature over an entire 2010 season will be even better.
