On April 24th I wrote that I thought a decision was coming on Trembley. I stated that while I did not feel Trembley was the problem, I did not believe he was part of the solution.

On May 12th I shared a blog where I had surveyed 8 other Oriole bloggers. Of the 9 of us, 7 of us (myself included) believed Trembley would be the Manager for the remainder of the year. All 9 of us wrote that we did not believe he would be the Manager to start 2011.

After losing 2 of 3 in DC, the Orioles are off tomorrow prior to starting a home series with Oakland Tuesday. The Orioles have lost 10 of their last 15 games overall, to fall to an abysmal 17 games under .500, and 18.5 games behind Tampa.

I thought Trembley was done when this team fell to 2-16, but he survived. On May 12th, my thinking was that I could see the O’s making a move at the All-Star break if there had not been tangible improvement, but thought he was going to get the entire year. Mainly that was due to believing it is hard to be interviewing replacements without a logical interim Manager in waiting, and the idea that I thought MacPhail would want to give Trembley the entire year.

I’m now thinking that if there is going to be a Managerial change, that you have to think it comes tomorrow. If tomorrow comes and passes without a change at Manger, or with the coaching staff; it is hard to imagine the O’s removing Trembley during the rest of this season.

So what do you think? When the O’s take the field against the A’s Tuesday, who will be in the Oriole dugout? Trembley? Bob Melvin? Buck Showalter? Etc. Etc?
