Andy Kostka, Danielle Allentuck, and Jon Meoli from The Baltimore Banner as well as Connor Newcombe from Locked On Orioles give their opinions on many topics from how the 2023 Orioles won 101 games to how far they’ll go in the playoffs as the hype train rolled through downtown Baltimore.

On the Verge: 2023 AAA Norfolk Tides Season Review

Zach, Nick, and Bob begin breaking down AAA Norfolk’s season the only way possible with Jackson Holliday winning Baseball America’s minor league player of the year award the following season after Gunnar Henderson did it himself. They discuss what is next for the 19 year old as well as the rest of the dominant Tides lineup including Coby Mayo, Colton Cowser, Joey Ortiz, Connor Norby, and Kyle Stowers. There were positives to be found with the pitching as well led by the organization’s pitcher of the year front runner Chayce McDermott, last year’s breakout Justin Armbruester, and ESPN top 50 prospect Cade Povich.

They also talk about what it means to see the Orioles clinch a playoff spot and Kjerstad make his major league debut as well as hit his first major league homerun.

There were a lot of things to like on both sides of the ball this year in A ball including pitching development, progression throughout the season, and a sign of things to look forward to in 2024.
