Needing a dominant starter..think reverse Eckersley, with Miller an awesome closer. Trade Jiminez for Arrieta :)

Like some of the other troubled O's starting pitching prospects, Britton has proved to be more suited to a relief role. If you did put him in the rotation, who does he replace ? Jimenez will definitely be there to justify his contract unless he proves to be worthless and is hurting the team.

I agree. I think Britton was a little lucky. They should stretch him out I can see him winning about 12 games. Miller must be signed he would be a perfect closer.

If the Orioles can sign Miller, I'd say put Britton back in the rotation and make Miller the closer. I think the time spent in the bullpen has helped Britton, and that experience should become evident as a starter. Back in the started days, players would see a low-ish pitch from Britton and hold up, knowing it would sink below the strike zone. This year he seems to have gained more control over that pitch. BUT... if they don't sign Miller, this is moot.

I agree Britton should continue to pitch out of the bullpen. Before he became the closer last Spring he was pitching ( very effectively) in the long relief role. Whether he closes or serves another bullpen role, he seems better suited to pitch as a reliever. I would love to see the O's resign Miller and let Buck determine their exact roles in Spring Training. The O's have considerable depth in the starting pitching dept., yet it was their bullpen that took them to the playoffs in 2012 and 2014.
