Spalding demolished Pallotti, 62-0, to move to 3-0 in league play. Junior quarterback Malik Washington completed 12 of 14 passes for 188 yards and three touchdowns, while sophomore Blake Howell came in to complete 6 of 9 passes for 94 yards and throw for another score.
Dating back to last season, the Cavaliers have won 11 straight games versus league opponents, all by double-digits, and by a point differential average of +29.8. The Cavaliers travel to Gilman (3-2) on Friday.
McDonogh (3-1) broke free from a one point deficit at halftime to Loyola (3-2) by scoring 22 unanswered points in the third quarter and taking a 42-21 win over the Dons. Sophomore quarterback Braeden Palazzo had the best game of his two year high school career, completing 26 of 32 passes for 334 yards and four touchdowns (1 int). Palazzo also rushed for 46 yards and a score.
Palazzo’s four passing touchdowns were a career-best, as was his 334 passing yards. Junior Jefferson Exinor Jr caught 11 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles host Pallotti (1-4) on Friday.
Calvert Hall (2-4) fell short of LaSalle College, 38-35, in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, despite sophomore quarterback Jae’oyn Williams rushing for four touchdowns and passing for 202 yards and another score. The Cardinals are idle this week. Mt St Joe (3-3) topped Gilman (3-2), 31-16, as senior quarterback Winston Watkins passed for 242 yards and three touchdowns, ending the Gaels two game skid. The Gaels visit Franklin on Thursday.
MIAA B
Concordia Prep (4-1) came back from a scoreless first half versus Archbishop Curley and scored two touchdowns in the second half to pull out a 12-7 victory over the Friars. Saints senior Cam Gross scored on a two yard midway through the third quarter, and senior Geulius Cornish scored the eventual game-winner with 7:03 to play in the fourth quarter. The Saints host John Carroll on Friday in a showdown that may decide the league’s regular season winner.
The John Carroll Patriots (3-2) topped Bullis in a non-league matchup, 17-7. The Patriots won their league opener, pulling out a 16-10 overtime victory over defending league champion St Mary’s in week four. St Mary’s (2-2) evened their league record with a 41-7 blowout win over Boys Latin (1-4). St Paul’s (3-2) also evened their league record with a 16-7 win over Mt Carmel (2-3). The Crusaders limited the Cougars to 122 offensive yards. The Crusaders host Archbishop Curley (2-3) on Friday.

Willie has contributed to Max Preps, Digital Sports, and Varsity Sports Network. Willie has produced MPSSAA top 25 rankings for both football and basketball for 15 years, across various platforms. From a large ‘sports family’, Willie’s brother Mike led Reservoir High to the 3A basketball state title game in 2018, while his nephew Anthony serves as the Indianapolis Colts College Scouting Coordinator.
