For the year at Norfolk, Tillman is now 10-7, with a 3.29 era. He has pitched 112 innings, allowed 107 hits, 9 homers, 28 walks, with 89 k’s. He has held hitters to a .252 batting average again, and his a Ground-ball to Fly-ball ratio of .82.
Tillman pitched 161.2 innings in 2009, and between AAA and the Majors this year has pitched a total of 137 innings. He is probably capable of about 190 innings for the year. It will be interesting to see if the O’s go to the 6 man September rotation suggested by Buck Showalter, so that Showalter can evaluate Tillman some prior to the end of this year.
