If there are any doubts anywhere about the gains of the Baltimore Orioles as an organization, those thoughts should end upon review of the roster of the AAA Norfolk Tides.

As much as I believe that Chris Tillman should be in the Orioles rotation, now that he is back in AAA, I am looking forward to see him dominating and earning his promotion. When you team him with Arrieta, Erbe, and Patton – you really have something to watch nearly every-start.

(If you excuse the hyperbole for a second, if that rotation also included Britton, there could almost be a discussion of which rotation – Norfolk or Baltimore – had more upside 1 to 5)

Besides the rotation, you also have Josh Bell and Brandon Snyder to follow daily in the lineup, and Mickolio out of the bullpen. (Depending on his health).

Lastly, while the aforementioned players are the legitimate ‘prospects’ to be watching – there is another collection of players that have the potential to help the O’s get through injuries, or add depth to the bullpen at some point.

I am thinking of players such as Justin Turner, Rhyne Hughes, Lou Montanez, Scott Moore, Dennis Sarfate, Jim Miller, Castillo.
