Matt Hobgood, the 2009 1st-round Draft pick of the Baltimore Orioles, made his full-season debut for the Low A Delmarva Shorebirds last-night.
Hobgood went 4 innings, allowed 3 hits, 3 er, 5 bb’s, and 4 k’s.
Nobody likes seeing the 5 walks, but let us all remember that this kid had not even been to his Senior Prom this time last-year. 2010 is about taking the ball every 5th day as a Professional, and improving start-to-start, and month-to-month.
