The Baltimore Sun is reporting today that Juan Samuel will be the Oriole manager when the 2nd-half begins Friday against Toronto.

If the O’s want Showalter, the offer has to come soon.
If you are Showalter, you can not accept being told that the O’s want to evaluate others in the off-season. You are either the guy or you or not.
The O’s still have to interview a minority candidate, before an offer to anyone can occur. Samuel indicated yesterday that he has received no communication that would lead him to believe he is being considered as a permanent replacement.
