When you are 35 games under .500, a random game in August can only have so much importance. Still, it will be interesting to see if the O’s can win their 4th consecutive series today.
Obviously this (and every remaining game) means a lot to Tampa. The opportunity exists for the O’s to build on some of the positive vibes that have been building under Showalter. The only way to continue to build momentum is to continue to win games, and series at a time.
You want to do something actually impressive, you take 2 of 3 from a divisional power on the road.
