The University of Maryland is losing 9-7 to Duke at the half in College Park.
The Terrapins were down 9-0 and facing a potential knock-out punch from the driving Blue Devils, when Saftey Antwine Perez made a red-zone interception with under 5 mts remaining in the second-quarter.
Maryland was able to finally put together a drive and carve into the lead on the subsequent possession. That drive was aided by a 44 yard connection between O’Brien and Smith. The Terps ground-game has been ineffective so far tonight, and O’Brien was having a very limited half until that drive.
The Terps have allowed 227 yards, including 173 through the air.
This is an absolute must-win game if the Terps want to end their season in a bowl. Maryland needs to play the 2nd-half with an attacking mentality.
