What do you like / dislike?

Let us say the following occurs:

A) Baltimore signs Lee for 2yrs at $10M per.

B) Baltimore trades 2 of 4 out of Bundy, Mahoney, Pelzer, and Beato for Reynolds

C) Baltimore trades Johnson for Hardy or Bartlett

D) Baltimore resigns Uehara

What do you like? What do you dislike?

Likes:

1) I like that the O’s have upgraded at 1st, SS, and 3rd.
2) I like that rotation, especially with Britton waiting in the wings.
3) I like that the payroll of this team is in the low to mid 80 Millions, and certainly feasible for the O’s.
4) I like the potential of the bullpen, especially if the rotation takes the next step.
5) I like that the lineup is pretty deep, even if it lacks that one eye-catching star.
6) You have kept the core of young players you have developed, and augmented them with external improvements.
7) Markakis, Jones, Wieters, and Reimold/Pie are all realistic candidates to improve in 2011.

Dislikes:

1) I would like another established versatile player off the bench.
2) I’m not stuck on a LOOGY or other situational relievers (which is why I like this bullpen), but I do think another quality lefty is needed.
3) The bullpen has potential, but also has a lot of injury concerns.
4) Lee could regress, and Reynolds could potentially struggle further in the AL East.
5) Roberts and Scott are realistic candidates for some regression.

Conclusion:

This is a 78-85 win team that could exceed that expectation if the youth matures and plays to their talent. The odds of this team failing to meet those expectations are low.
