Most interesting part of the article is Newsome stating that keeping Scott does not preclude the team from also retaining Lewis.
I believe the Ravens have probably made it known to Lewis and his representation, what they are prepared to offer.
At this point, Lewis needs to hear what is available to him on the open-market.
Lewis probably wants to return all things being equal, but is hoping his nearing an open-market drives the Ravens to offer more than they normally would.
I think Lewis is gauging the Ravens wrong here, and believe the Ravens will not pay more than they deem Lewis the 34 year-old player is worth.
