Assuming Jordan Williams returns, the Terps current 2011-12 roster looks like:
1) Howard, Gibbs
2) Stoglin, Faust
3) Mosley, Parker
4) Palsson, Breunig, Padgett, Pankey
5) Williams, Weijs
Do not get hung-up on positions, or who is listed as the starters. As Coach Williams has shown repeatedly this year, the lineups can consistently change. The thing to note is the depth of the roster.
The biggest question mark going into next year will be the production Maryland can expect at the PF position. Adding Breunig obviously helps. You now have multiple options. Palsson could play up, and you know you he has the ability to shoot and scrap. If Pankey is physically ready to perform (after missing the last two years with leg injuries) MD will have two athletic PF’s (including Padgett) that can run the floor, and block shots.
With Breunig’s size, good athleticism, and apparent advanced offensive game; he looks poised to get major minutes next year.
