Weekly, Baltimore Sports and Life reviews the Terps status on the Bracket Project Website, which tracks projected NCAA Tournament Brackets from across the web.

Bracket Project can be found at:http://bracketproject.50webs.com/matrix.htm

This week, there are 55 Total Brackets making up the rankings.

The Terps are shown as currently in the NCAA Tournament, appearing on 29 brackets as a consensus 11 seed.

You will note that MD appears on the 12 line – that is because the other existing 11 seeds, currently appear on more overall brackets vs MD.

Wake Forest, who MD plays Tomorrow night, appears on all 55 brackets as a 3 seed.

The ACC, which still leads the country in Conference RPI, is currently projected to send 8 teams to the Tournament, with Miami in the First 4 Out.

Virginia Tech, is on 20 brackets as a consensus 11 seed. Miami, is on 16 brackets as a consensus 11 seed.

Outside of the ACC, there are teams of interest to Maryland, including:

Michigan State – On all 55 brackets, consensus 2 seed
Michigan – On 18 brackets, listed in the First Four Out, a consensus 11 seed
American – Projected winner of the Patriot League, on 54 brackets as a 14 seed
Vermont – Projected winner of the American East conference, on 33 brackets as a 14 seed
Morgan St – Projected winner of the MEAC, on 54 brackets as a 16 seed

Assuming MD can split this week with Wake Forest, and UVA – the Terps should wrap-up an NCAA bid.
