Tough loss for MD today, as the Blue Devils just made a few more plays.

Terps had a good effort, but you have to credit the Nation’s Number 9 team for their defense, and making foul-shots late to seal the game.

MD certainly showed in the match-up at home, and today on the neutral-court that they can play with Duke…. The Devils won each game because they are the superior team.

In an ACC Semi-Final, there are no moral victories… but showing the Selection Committee you can play Top 10 National teams on a neutral court in back-to-back nights should account for something.

I was happy to see Bowie build off his late-efforts last night, and have his best overall game in nearly a month.

Bowie finished with 12 pts, 3boards, and 3 assists.

Vasquez was bottled-up effectively, and finished with 14 pts, 6 boards, and 4 assists.

Hayes did what he could to keep MD in the game late, finishing with 20 pts, on 9 for 13 shooting from the floor.

It certainly is going to come down to the end for MD tomorrow night, and I am aware of the situations in the Atlantic 10, SEC, Big 12, and Pac 10… but I remain confident MD will have their named called tomorrow.

Hearing Bilas, Vitale, Katz and several others make the same point today, will help me sleep better tonight.
