Eaton went 4innings today, allowing 1ER, with 1bb, and 2 k’s.
That gives him a total of 7innings, with 7hits, and 3er allowed in his two combined outings.
While that is an effective 7 innings, I continue to miss why the O’s would bring him North.
Eaton turned 31 in November…
In 2007, he was 10-10, with a 6.29 ERA, allowing 192 hits, in 161.2 innings, with only 97 k’s, and 71 walks.
In 2008, he was 4-8, with a 5.80 ERA, allowing 131 hits, in 107 innings, with only 57 k’s, and 44 walks.
Those were his stats in the National League… the idea that he is going to come to the American League East, and even match his 2007 and 2008 effectiveness is a stretch.
When you look at the stats he would likely produce, there is no reason to believe he could up his value enough to bring any value back to the Orioles via trade at mid-season.
There is nothing he could do that would make the O’s a contender this year…. There is nothing he could do this year, that would put him in the O’s 2010 plans.
The Baltimore Orioles giving innings to Adam Eaton is a waste of time.
