Wieters not among the likely cuts… so even though MacPhail apparently recently said Wieters is likely to start in AAA, the O’s again appear to be leaving the door open for Wieters to start the season as the Opening Day Catcher.
Nolan Reimold knew his ability to make the O’s were severely limited once Felix Pie was obtained, and Luke Scott/Aubrey Huff remained Orioles… but he had a strong Spring Training, and showed why he should be held in higher-regard by the Organization.
I continue to believe that if Huff is not extended after 2009, or Luke Scott is traded, that Reimold can ascend to the Majors and produce on an everyday-level.
