I am sure that Connolly is correct in his assertion that Penn is in danger of not making the team… but I completely disagree with the idea that there is any reason for Penn to actually be in danger.
I know Penn has allowed 6runs in 8.2 innings this spring, but that only matters so much.
What matters is his Date of Birth of 10/13/84, and this success he had at the AA, and AAA levels at ages 20, and 21.
What matters is that he is healthy now.
You do not get rid of the guy turning 25, that has acheived what he has acheived…
He can be part of the future of this team… Baez can not.
