Welcome to the 2018 BSL Deified Dozen rankings. Each week during the season our panel of experts will rank the Top 12 teams in college football. Members of our panel include: CT Schwink, Rob Shields, Mike Lowe, Zack Kiesel, Brian (Pedro Cerrano) McGuire, Chris (Ricker Says) Ricker, Steve Birrer, Mike Randall and Chris Garman. We are looking forward to an exciting season of college football.
Week 3 is the first time that the Deified Dozen has a unanimous #1 team, as all of our voters were impressed with Alabama’s 62-7 beatdown at Ole Miss. Staying in the SEC West, LSU was a big riser after pulling off a last-second upset at previously #7 Auburn. That big win, coupled with a stunning loss by Wisconsin to BYU, vaulted LSU to #6, while Auburn’s narrow loss kept them in the Dozen at #11.
Several big games this week could shake up the rankings for next week. Games to keep an eye on include the Dozen’s newest member, #12 Mississippi State, headed to unbeaten Kentucky while Stanford goes to Eugene, OR to face old nemesis Oregon (#19 Coaches/#20 AP).
