Welcome to the 2018 BSL Deified Dozen rankings. Each week during the season our panel of experts will rank the Top 12 teams in college football. Members of our panel include:  CT Schwink, Rob Shields, Mike Lowe, Zack Kiesel, Brian (Pedro Cerrano) McGuire, Chris (Ricker Says) Ricker, Steve Birrer, Mike Randall and Chris Garman. We are looking forward to an exciting season of college football.

We have a first in Deified Dozen history, as the post Week 5 rankings is a baker’s dozen. Stanford’s loss at Notre Dame knocked them out and made room for two new entrants at #12, Kentucky and UCF, who tied with 4 votes apiece. Penn State’s narrow loss to Ohio State dropped them from #7 to #11, but aside from that there was very little in the way of big movement.

While this week doesn’t feature any head-to-head matchups among the Dozen, there are some teams that will face teams ranked in the AP/Coaches polls away from home. #5 LSU heads to The Swamp to play Florida, #6 Oklahoma travels to Dallas to face Texas in the Red River Rivalry, and #7 Notre Dame goes to Blacksburg against Virginia Tech.
