According to the NFL Draft Bible, Webb is 5’11, 173 lbs that ran a 4.43 40 yard dash, and benches 295 lbs.
That 40 time was the fastest of any CB at the NFL Combine, and helps explain why the Ravens would take a CB now in the 3rd round, after Eric DeCosta recently made the point that finding CB starters after Round 1 is basically impossible.
Webb will join a secondary that currently features Washington, Foxworth, Reed, Landry, Rolle, Zybikowski, Nakmaura, and Walker.
Webb was originally at Southern Miss, but transferred to Nicholls State.
There were a lot of high-end TE talent on the board that the Ravens passed on. Additionally, the Ravens have seen numerous WR’s come off the board.
You have to wonder how the Ravens plan on upgrading the WR core. Also, considering that Clayton, Mason, and Williams are all Free Agents after the 2009 season… you would think adding talent there now would be a priority.
