When Mora comes off the DL, and joins the team, the O’s will be faced with a roster decision.
Matt Albers has pitched 8.2 innings this year… allowed 13 hits, 5er, 4 bb’s with 6 k’s… 4 of the er were in 1 apperance… he has not been scored on, in his last 4.2 innings.
Bass has pitched 15 innings this year… allowed 20 hits, 12 er, 5 homers, 5 bb’s with 14 k’s. I am impressed with his 14 k’s in 15 innings… and to be fair, he has not been scored on his last 7.2 innings… but overall, I think Bass is a dime a dozen pitcher, and that Albers has more upside.
Frankly, when Mora comes up, I would go ahead and cut Eaton, and let Bass get a couple of starts until you want to promote someone real. If you want to keep Eaton, and cut Bass – that is fine as well.
My guess is that the O’s send Albers back to AAA.
