Lets reevaluate the roster, after the draft:
O-Line (10)
Gaither, Grubbs, Birk, Yanda, Oher (Anderson, Terry, Chester Cousins, Hale)
RB/ FB (4)
McClain, McGahee, Rice, Peerman
WR (4)
Mason , Clayton, Williams (Smith)
TE (3)
Heap, Smith, Drew
I will assume that Sypniewski has little chance to make the team as a 4th TE.
QB (3)
Flacco (Smith, Bouman)
D-Line (6)
Ngata, Gregg, Bannan, Pryce (Edwards, Kruger)
LB’s (7)
Suggs, Lewis, Gooden, Johnson (McClain, Barnes, Phillips)
DB (9)
Washington, Foxworth, Reed, Landry, Rolle, (Zybikowski, Nakamura, Webb, Walker)
Special Teams (5)
Koch, Gano Figures, Ayanbedjo, Jones
I have been saying 9-7 for awhile, but after seeing the schedule laid out… I feel better about 10-6.
KC – W, Chiefs will be improved.. but Ravens should win at home.
@SD – L, Crowd will not intimidate Baltimore, but West Coast trip against a talented team.
Browns – W
@Pats – L, NE is aging and this will be a winnable game.. but should not expect to win on the road vs the Pats.
Bengals – W, I am sure Cinci will not be as inept as they were in 2008.. but at home this is a W.
@Vikings – L, Solid team… dome…
Denver – W, glad Cutler is gone… swing game with conference implications for Ravens
@Bengals – W, Bengals had a nice draft… could certainly lose here.
@Browns – W, MNF… probably should call for the loss… division game on the road, on prime-time… just expect Ravens find a way to win.
Colts – L, Until shown otherwise, I will not believe Baltimore can beat Peyton Manning.
Steelers – W, Sunday Night game… think there will be hype during this week?
@GB – L, Monday Night… Lambeau… Prime-time.. not feeling a win.
Lions – W, Detroit can only be improved… but they are not coming to Baltimore and winning.
Bears – W, Another swing game for the Ravens… Chicago will be used to the cold… Cutler will give them a chance.
@Steelers – L
@Raiders – W, West Coast weather will feel good late in the year… facing Oakland at the end of the year, might not.
Issues facing the team:
1) With the return of Gregg, and Edwards, do you go to a traditional 4-3 defense?
2) Is Stover willing to come back if Gano or Hauschka are ineffective?
3) Is Gooden ready to produce?
4) Is D. Williams healthy, and ready to play a full-season?
5) Suggs, Ngata, Gaither, Clayton, and Mason are all looking for contract extensions.. how does that effect the locker-room?
6) If Landry is not able to physically return, is the team comfortable with Zbikowski or Nakamura starting?
