I have mixed feelings on this trade.
Olson has plenty of potential of his own, and I am sorry to see him go.
I also question the need to give up a young arm under your control, to obtain a LF, when you already had Scott and Reimold as internal options.
That said, Pie does have a lot of talent.
Adding him to the everyday lineup gives the O’s the best Outfield defense in baseball, without question.
It also give the O’s another cornerstone position player to build around.
Pie turns 24 next month.

** Montanez a 4th OF, vs Reimold a legit prospect that needs everyday at-bats… if Scott is traded at some point, Reimold can take over DH.
