MASN’s Roch Kubatko is reporting that Oriole OF Luis Montanez is expected to have surgery to fix two torn ligaments in his thumb, that will sideline him for 6-8 weeks.

It was already expected that when Luke Scott returned from the DL, that Montanez would be heading back to Norfolk, with Reimold remaining the starter in LF, and Pie used as the 4th OF…. this just seals the deal for how the roster will be comprised in the immediate future.
