Guthrie is getting hit with more consistency than the previous two seasons, and his control has not been as good. More than anything else walks (and homers) are what is killing him.He is giving the team an opportunity to win most nights, but he needs to string together some efforts where he is the reason the team wins.
I want to see improved control tomorrow.
The expected Oriole starter Tuesday, is Jason Berken who would be making his Major League debut.

Luke Scott will be eligible to come off the DL Tuesday, which will occur, with Montanez being the corresponding move.
Rich Hill will be going up against one of the premier pitchers in baseball in Roy Halladay. This will be Hill’s 3rd start of 2009, and first start at home as an Oriole.
Brian Tallet is a 31 year old lefty, that has spent the past 3 seasons in the Toronto bullpen. This will be Tallet’s 8th start of 2009. He has pitched 48.1 innings, allowed 37 hits, 23 walks, with 36 k’s.
In May, Tallet has made 4 starts, and gone at least 6 innings in each, allowing 3 er or less each time.
Ricky Romero was a 2005 1st round pick of the Jays, who will be making his 4th start of 2009.
For the year, he is 2-0, with a 1.71 era, having pitched 21 innings, allowing 19 hits, 4 bb’s, with 13 k’s. The 24 year-old lefty has only allowed 1 homer so far.
Detroit will head to Kansas City tomorrow, with a record of 24-18, which is currently good enough to lead the AL Central. The Tigers are currently 9-11 on the road.
If Uehara is not able to make his scheduled start Thursday, the Orioles will likely have a second-starter making their Major League debut within two days of each-other.
The most likely candidate would be David Hernandez.
