The Baltimore Orioles won their first game of a six game West Coast trip, 1-0 last night in Seattle.

I was traveling, and did not get to see the game, but was excited to see Rich Hill’s line this morning.

Hill moved to 2-0 with the win, going 7 innings, allowing 2 hits, 0er, 3 bb’s, with 7 k’s.

This means in Hill’s 4 outings with the O’s, he has gone at least 5.2 innings 3 times, and allowed 2er or less 3 times as well.

Tonight, David Hernandez will make his second Major League start. You are looking for improved control tonight, as he should be a bit more comfortable. Additionally, it will be interesting to see if he can get Mariner batters to chase pitches out of the zone.

For Seattle, former Oriole Eric Bedard will take the mound in his first outing against the O’s.

As capable as the O’s lineup is, a number of Oriole hitters are a bit cold right now. Would be good see a breakout game tonight.
