This morning on WBAL TV, Keith Mills reported that Drew Bennett has announced to the Ravens his plans to retire.

The sudden change of heart, due to a knee injury that reemerged this weekend.

Hopefully, this will prompt the organization to make a move towards receiving a definitive decision from Mason, and going after a Matt Jones, M. Harrison, or A. Toomer.

Explain to me again, why the Ravens can not have this conversation with Jones:

“Matt, here is your opportunity. You had 65 catches in 12 games last year, and nobody is beating down your door. We are calling you out of need. If you perform, you stay. If you do not perform, you are gone. If you relapse, the NFL will come down on you harshly.”

You can bring in Jones and maintain the principals you want to have as an Organization.

I do not want to hear about Hackett, who you just decided as an Organization you did not want over Bennett.
