The O’s will take 2 of 3 from the Texas Rangers this weekend, severely hurting Texas in their run for the playoffs.
Matusz was able to battle back from a rough 1st inning yesterday, to give 7 innings, and earn his 4th win. Guthrie was strong today.
Tillman took the loss Friday, but despite battling his control (3 walks), was able to give 6 innings of work.
Albers gave 2 scoreless innings Friday, and another inning today.
Reimold had his 14th homer yesterday, as he puts the finishing touches on a very-solid rookie campaign.
Fiorentino had a couple of hits, and rbi today as he looks like he could be in the mix for one of the bench slots for 2010.
Taking 2 of 3 from a team that is in the running for the playoffs, is a positive. Hopefully they can build on it, as they head to Boston Tuesday for the short two-game series.
