The only thing left to watch in the Terps 2009 Football season, is how they prepare for the 2010 season.
Let us take a look at some of the talent that could return next year.

Immediate Thoughts:
1) I do not think anyone could give a reasonable answer of what production could come from QB. That said, replacing the minimal production of Turner this year would be the baseline.
2) Running-back is almost too deep, and I did not even include Morgan Green. There are a couple of home-run hitters in that group, and the Terps will have to be more creative in how they get these guys the ball. I also expect more sets that utilize two RB’s.
3) The WR and TE depth is just outstanding. As long as the QB can get the ball to them, there is plenty of talent here.
4) The offensive-line is improving as this season progresses, and the players gain additional experience. If Bruce Campbell returns, this line can go from being a 2009 liability, to one of the better 2010 units. Does Pete White emerge as the starting RG? Cody Blue could play either O-line or D-line, and is a good athlete. I wonder if he could be converted to Center, and press Danny Edwards.
5) Zack Kerr is currently listed as the backup NT, but I see him taking over at DT next year. Kerr and Francis have received a lot of playing-time this year, which should help next season. Kabongo, Vellano, and Anderson provide good depth. It will be important for Drummond to take the next-step as a pass-rusher.
6) Wujciak and Moten should both have the chance to play at the next-level, but I imagine neither will be told they would be high enough 2010 Draft-picks, to leave college before their eligibility expires. With both of them back for their Senior season, along with Hartsfield, the LB core could be as good as anyone.
7) Travis Hawkins being able to step-in to a starting CB position next year will be a necessity. If that occurs, I like the chances for the secondary to be solid. Perez has not looked like the 5star recruit that landed a scholarship to USC, but he has shown flashes. Obviously Tate is a superior athlete at SS, and will be play in the NFL. Chism was a Top 20 National Corner-back his Senior year, and will have spent most of this 2009 season as a starter. The key to the Secondary will be the depth that can be developed behind the starters.
8) The kicking-game with Ferrara, and Baltz will be a plus.
