The Baltimore Orioles, wearing road jerseys that say ‘Baltimore’, will head to Texas, to take on the Rangers for a 3 game series starting tomorrow.
The O’s are 4-2, as they prepare for their first road-trip, while the Rangers are 3-3.
Texas started the year at 3-0, but just got swept at Detroit.
The pitching matchups are:
April 13th – Uehara vs Padilla
April 14th – Simon vs McCarthy
April 15th – Hendrickson vs Benson
The Rangers have an interesting mix of positional talent, that can be relatively competetive in the American League West… even with their overall lack of pitching.
They are of course led by veterans Josh Hamilton, Ian Kinsler, Michael Young, Hank Blalock… and surrounded with interesting youth in Elvis Andrus, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Chris Davis.
With 4 games in Boston looming at week-end, it is imperative for the O’s to play well in Texas.
