According to The Baltimore Sun, the Ravens have signed QB John Beck to compete for the backup QB job with Troy Smith.

This reunites Beck with former Dolphins Head Coach Cam Cameron.
Beck is 6’2, 216 lbs… and turns 28 in August. In 2007 he was a 2nd round pick out of BYU.
He did get into game action in 2008, but played 5 games as a rookie in 2007.
In those 5 games, he was 0-4 as a starter, fumbled 7 times, and had 3 picks.
His career high in yardage was 177 against the Jets.
As a 2006 Senior at BYU, Beck threw for 3,885 yards, completing 69.3% of his passes, with 32 TD’s, and 8 picks.
