Today, I received comments from Bracketologist, Mr. Doug McKinney of Feature Presentation Online (http://www.featurepresentationonline.com)

Mr. McKinney was kind enough to share his insight on MD’s NCAAT chances, stating:

“I do have the Terps in (11 seed) vs. LSU (6 seed) out West in my latest bracket. It’s not often that a team can suffer a 29-point loss and still say they ended up having a good week. That was the case for Maryland, as they knocked off #3 UNC in College Park on Saturday, after their set back to Clemson last Wednesday. In what was already a tough remaining schedule, Maryland did itself a huge favor by taking out the Tar Heels to move to 6-6. Now, the next step is to get to at least 8 wins. The Terps have collected just one road win this season, so one could argue it’d be important to get victories at NC State and at Virginia. But the Terps do own two wins over top five teams … with an opportunity to improve their resume when they play two top 15 teams Duke and Wake Forest at Comcast Center.I’m still a believer that three more wins will put the Terps in. Whether it’s going 8-8 plus an ACC tournament win or just going 3-1 down the stretch to get to 9-7. If they get to 8-8 and bow out early in the ACC tourney, Gary Williams and his Terps will be sweating come selection sunday in what has been a soft bubble.”

This goes hand-in-hand with comments from other Bracketologists, who broke down MD’s chances prior to the Virginia Tech game on Valentine’s Day:
